I have spent 32 successful years in the fashion design industry and have learned everything one needs to know to be successful in their own business.
I first learned the business in my home country of Thailand, beginning when I was just 18 years old. After spending two years at a top dress-making center in my hometown of Roe-ed, I moved to Bangkok to develop my skills.
I worked for one of Bangkok’s biggest dressmakers for 12 years before I decided to start my own business. The business focused on exporting garments and clothing and did very well for 10 years until the late 1990s.
After closing my factory, I decided to continue my education at a well known fashion institution, Ngamwilai School, in Bangkok. I began to focus on dress-making techniques that originated in the fashion capital of Paris.
In 2004, another dream came true when I opened my own tailor shop in Bangkok called “Chiffon Fashion”. This business grew quite rapidly and eventually, the shop employed seven full-time employees that completed 275 to 300 orders a month. The business thrived until I decided to move on.
Wanting my two lovely daughters to be educated in the United States, we moved in 2008. This country has become our second home and I strive for nothing more than to be a good citizen and to continue to work in the fashion industry that I love.
